Dandelion Fit and Flare Dress

I really wanted to love this dress. I ordered this as a Birthday gift for myself and I was looking forward to loving it, I absolutely love the pattern and had been waiting months for a dress to come out in this pattern, since I saw it in the top. It arrived today and has left me so disappointed and feeing like I wasted my money. I really wish this had been shown on a plus size model before I purchased it. It has not got enough fabric in the skirt to make it a proper flare skirt, even if it were worn with a hoop/underskirt it would not flare properly as the width at the bottom of the skirt is not wide enough proportionately to the larger waist on a plus size.

It is more like a shift dress that just sits all kinds of wrong and I’ll have to do some serious altering to be able to wear it with any confidence. I ordered the biggest size as I have a much larger bottom half than top half so I am used to taking in the top and altering that, but even with those kind of alterations, the skirt is not going to sit in away that gives a flattering shape and proper flare.
Really disappointed that the plus size customer isn’t really considered when designing these dresses, yes it fits, but it doesn’t look good. I have dresses from other websites that aren’t even marketed as flare that have more fabric and create a lovely shape and make me feel great.

Just very, very disheartened and disappointed.
